ASS2023 ARCHIVE (White Onyx, Aztec Gold, Gray Onyx, Smoke Drift Prima, Sagebush, Juniper) is a wall relief of synthetic composite, from an industrial residual stock. The composite is called Solid Surface, and consists of minerals and plastic - thus it cannot be broken down, but becomes part of massive "landfills" around the world.

The title refers to museum and archaeological archiving practices, which describe the place of discovery, material and time of acquisition. In this way, the work is a comment on how people archive art, objects and or digital memories, but also material overconsumption. The relief may point towards a new understanding of history - what is archived and what should be available in the future, or eternity?
